I Don't what others think but I always wanted the reminder to be settable individually or collectively (both) at a time defined before the event.
The current setting is a notification at the same time of the scheduled time or the deadline which I don't really find useful.
At least something like 30 minutes /1 hour /1 hour 30 minutes before the scheduled time would be useful in my humble opinion.
Under the sched time you have .+1w, why not set that to 1 hour?
I think a global option per time type (scheduled, deadline) would be useful.
Eventually, warning period for deadlines could be implemented, which would override it. Ideally that would be possible for scheduled and plain times too, but that would require some custom support to be able to sync using Org files.
