Well, you haven't made https://github.com/yvt/openspades/releases since 2 years so why should this be already fixed?

I also rechecked and https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/games/openspades is also affected by https://github.com/yvt/openspades/issues/288 so I can't really test it.

@yvt I agree with @noway421. After this wave of fixes, it would be a good idea to release a new version.

In my opinion, v0.1.0 means a very great change and we haven't gotten there yet. It is getting close, but not ready. Publishing a preview of it would take away a bit of the magic of finally releasing it after two years.

Releasing a preview of 0.1.0 is indeed important for people to test for bugs before we release it, but I am against it. I think there just hasn't been many changes yet to publish a preview.

Said that, if a preview is going to be released anyway, I have some suggestions:

  1. Release a 0.0.13
  2. Publish a "preview release" using the v0.1.0-alpha.1, v0.1.0-alpha.2 tagging scheme.

    • I made a draft release for that: image

  3. Add a snapshot system, updated every 15 days or updated whenever it seems right (i.e. new feature implemented), so people can file bug reports based on it.

EDIT: Improve readability and add my opinion.
