Describe the bug
When I try to install openforcefield, very old 0.0.4 is installed.
To Reproduce
Create empty conda env (note that I don't force it to use any specific Python, conda chooses itself):
conda create --name openff
conda activate openff
Call:
conda install -c omnia openforcefield

I'm willing to bet its because you don't have conda-forge as one of your Conda channels of a higher priority. Most of the omnia packages also require conda-forge as a searchable channel (and higher priority than omnia) to get dependencies, which is probably why it resolves to an older version which relied only on omnia, and maybe defaults.
Try conda install -c conda-forge -c omnia openforcefield and se if that resolves a higher version.
Brilliant! Thank you for helping me so so quickly! Yes, it works.
Tried before conda-forge only, but it didn't work neither.
It would be worth updating the page here with another channel in the install command:
https://anaconda.org/omnia/openforcefield
Thanks!
I'm not sure anyone actually has the ability to control what is in the "Installers" block on Anaconda Cloud, at least I don't think we do. It's auto generated from uploading a package to it.
The main install instructions for OpenForceField are here in case you need to share them: https://open-forcefield-toolkit.readthedocs.io/en/latest/installation.html
I also can't find any way to control that, and it looks boilerplate across a bunch of projects I've checked. I can see why it'd be frustrating to users, and even the first thing I'd guess to click on is a broken link (below). Hopefully the coming conda-forge migration can make this process smoother.

Thanks for chiming in, @Lnaden, and I'm glad we've got the installation working for you, @mieczyslaw.
Unfortunately, we don't have access to the text shown there, but as @mattwthompson said, we'll be fully migrating to conda-forge in the coming weeks, so the end of the omnia channel is nigh.
I'm going to go ahead and close this issue, but feel free to reopen if you continue having installation issues.
No problem, @j-wags, I am the one directly responsible for Omnia's dependency on c-f, so I am the bringer of confusion basically.
Thanks all for your great help!
