Open-shell-menu: Add ability to customize Start button transitions involving the "Pressed" state

Created on 5 Aug 2020  路  5Comments  路  Source: Open-Shell/Open-Shell-Menu

I know that this was intentionally left out to improve responsiveness, but I think it would be worth adding it just to have options. Even the Windows 10 button has these options when the Start menu is open (Equivalent to "Pressed" state in OSM), which you can see when you hover over the button.

Thank you @blackcrack!

@bonzibudd, The following link is a Simple/Basic Guide/Tutorial on Creating an Animated Start Button....

... Please keep in mind that this may be from the Classic Shell Tutorials (the Open Shell's. Predecessor), but this still applies to the Open Shell Software as well.

include themes and language files.. all works :) but this Open source iss mutchooo bettaaa :) :+1:
(nope, i be near 50' but happy like a lil' follower with Open-Shell ;) it's the 2nd cool proggy behind Total Commander :) )
if the peoples easy informed they self .. before shoot in the dark.. would it much easyer :)

I hope I'm not missing something. I am aware of the button skinning tutorials and have made dozens myself. What I am looking for is an animation _after_ the button is pressed, or possibly when it is being held down. i.e. the slight fade after the Win10 default button is pressed. My eye goes here:

As you can see, this feature seems to be excluded from Classic shell. Also here:

This shows that these animations are specifically excluded from animation.

Unless I am missing something obvious, or possibly something that Open-Shell itself added, this seems to not be obtainable in the current version of Open-Shell. Also the last thing I want to do is post anything unnecessary or unobtainable, so I will close this if it doesn't line up with the goals of Open-Shell.

so, then program it by self and make a patch..
this is not a commercial Program where you can give payment slip command's...
and the 2nd, it must stay compatible to the exist and well working themes..
if you want make something new, have you to make a patch..
like it is now have it works for the last more as 10 years
best.
