Ombi: Delete record out the database when movie/tv show is not available anymore

Created on 12 Feb 2017  Â·  19Comments  Â·  Source: tidusjar/Ombi

When a tv show or movie is not available anymore we don't delete the record out of our database.
Itsn't possible to re-request it, it stay forever "available" and the view in plex/emby button redirect the end user also to a invalid or wrong tv show / movie.

Dev branch Fixed in the next release bug / issue

This function really needs to be re-added to V3. Se my post here about it: https://github.com/tidusjar/Ombi/issues/1566#issuecomment-428004457

Feature request linked to: http://feathub.com/tidusjar/Ombi/+37

Also, if you delete your request on the requests page, it is still not possible to re-request it.

@tidusjar Does it support also if you delete your request on the requests page that you can re-request it?

No. Do we want that?

@tidusjar couple of users asking for it so i was wondering if it is possible? (A)

I can, but if the content is still on plex then it will still stop you requesting.

@tidusjar yeayyyy

I dont think we need to do this actually.

Since we are now detecting when something is no longer available, if you deleted the request you could re-request it.

@tidusjar i can't :( , if i remove it from plex and delete it from the requests page and i try to re-request the status is still "requested"

That's if you do it straight away, if you wait for the cacher to run it will be fine

I keep running into this same problem.
I rerun the cachers, I restart, and I still can't re-request it.

Any help would be appreciated

For what it is worth, I went through the whole DB and cannot find any reference to what the movies that are stuck. There must be some other caching going on someplace that survives multiple restarts.

@tidusjar I'm a little confused as to the status of this. I first found the feathub https://feathub.com/tidusjar/Ombi/+220 and voted for it yesterday, however based on this thread it seems the issue was fixed last March 17. And yet the issue remains that movies deleted from Plex are still shown as available in Ombi. Any chance of some clarification?

That would have been from v2. V3 is a rewrite

Thanks for the prompt response @tidusjar ! I am running 3.0.3421, master. Should the issue be fixed in this version?

No. It was fixed in V2. V3 is a complete rewrite and might not have all the
features of v2

Ah I see. Can you suggest any workaround until it gets fixed? I've tried unlinking Plex and readding but no joy...

Still no movement on this? I lost 3000 movies, added about 2500 back that I wanted but users are having trouble requesting missing movies that ombi says are available.

There is a job that runs every 5 days by default that does this.
