If this is a feature request describe it here

I want to switch the light on before a photo is taken and switch it off afterwards. Therefore I need to run a script which sends knx or mqtt commands before and after octolapse takes the image.

Please consider becoming a patron

If you like this project, please support my work by becoming a patron, and consider adding a 'star' to the repository. It takes a lot of time and effort to maintain the project and respond to issues. The cost of test prints, software, cameras, printer parts, etc. can quickly add up, so every bit helps. I'm currently saving for some additional test cameras in preparation for develiping multi-camera support.

Waiting for response possible resolution

This feature exists in the current pre-release version found here: https://github.com/FormerLurker/Octolapse/archive/v0.3.4rc1.dev3.zip

Look in the camera profiles for custom camera scripts. You might want to check out this video which explains how to configure the new version: https://youtu.be/sDyg9lMqMG8

This next video doesn't directly explain how to use the before/after snapshot scripts, but it does show you how to use a script to capture an image from a DSLR. It should give you a good idea how to get started: https://youtu.be/J5SskYwP5JQ

Let me know if that helps.

Oh, and have a look here too:https://github.com/FormerLurker/Octolapse/wiki/Camera-Profiles#custom-camera-scripts

amazing, thanks
