Notebook: Chrome stuck in "starting kernel, please wait..."

When using Chrome and jupyter notebooks. Notebooks are stuck with a message "starting kernel, please wait...". I have tried many ways of stopping and starting the kernel to reconnect. Nothing seems to work. If I connect to the same using Firefox instead everything seems to work as expected. Setup information is below. Is there a know issue when using chrome or is there a configuration that I have neglected somewhere?

ubuntu 14.04 LTS (up to date packages)
python 3.4.3 (from official repos)
running from a virtual environment (pip list below)

Yep, #1414 and #1415 just reported the same thing ;-). It appears to be a bug in uBlock. Disabling uBlock or updating it to 1.7.2 should resolve it.

Just to add some additional information. It isn't enough to disable uBlock for the URL and have it running for other URLs. The extension itself is causing the interference. When I run in "incognito" mode then it works as expected. Thanks for the help.
