Nodebb: Bi-weekly NodeBB digest

Created on 20 Nov 2019  路  5Comments  路  Source: NodeBB/NodeBB

From the ACP options for digest in NodeBB, it would be quite nice to have the option to have a bi-weekly (every other week) digest. The reasons _I_ would want this...

  • Weekly can be a bit overwhelming sometimes but monthly might not be quite enough
  • Fewer emails sent saves on my transactional email bill

Thanks for listening and keep of the good work!

To give additional context, @djensen47 is asking for additional options in NodeBB to send digests in intervals other than the provided daily, weekly, or monthly.

On a cursory read-through of his OP it certainly can sound like he is requesting a bi-weekly digest of repo activity on this repo, but let me be clear -- he was not.

@abhijeetps, I apologize for my rudeness -- we get spam comments and issues here occasionally, and it does take a non-insignificant amount of time to ensure that the issues and comments that are made are legitimate. Your comment tripped a number of red flags (unfamiliar username, link to another product) that I assumed it was spam.

@abhijeetps, reported you for spam. Disregard

That's a strange repost TBH, someone asked for a feature for Bi-weekly digest, and I just suggested an application that helps with the same.

What did I do wrong here? 馃

In the end, it depends on the repository admins to install it or not. It was just a suggestion.

You suggested a repo that when installed, submits issues to a github repo in the form of a weekly digest. This is not at all what @djensen47 asked for.

I recognize you spent time and effort building software. That's wonderful. However please understand the context of issues before suggesting your software as a solution.
