There is something to be said for closing bug reports after N releases unless somebody confirms that the bug still exists. IIRC Fedora does that.

Double anniversary!

🎉

2000 is no anniversary. Let's wait until 2048!

At 2048, do we celebrate by packaging every possible clone of the 2048 found on GitHub?

By _creating an issue_ to package every possible clone of 2048, including HTML5 one.

I'm wondering, why not add stale bot?

My opinion is that closing stale issues typically helps nothing. (Depends on the type of issue.) EDIT: we've had a few discussions around this on github and/or mailing-list, during the past couple of years.

I'm wondering why

  • Closing an issue might make it appear that it's fixed or that it doesn't apply anymore.
  • Old open issues don't really obstruct anything, I believe, except that it might "look bad" that there are so many of them.
  • Larger distros (like Debian) seem to be doing OK despite having loads of open issues.

@vcunat debian can't be analyzed like this

That's the "look bad" argument which I don't find strong enough, but I'm just a single person...

@vcunat yes, this is what I meant
