News: News not syncing to external FeedReader anymore (since update to NCv20)

Explain the Problem

After updating to NCv20, my external news app does not retrieve news anymore.

Steps to Reproduce

I am using news 15.0.3, everything works fine in the web app. Android app also working and a curl to the API v1-2 looks good, as well. But the app FeedReader only retrieves the list of feeds, no content. It shows one old article as unread and nothing else. As I did not change anything besides the upgrade of nextcloud / the news app, I was wondering if there is a bug somewhere, introducing these incompatibilities.

Hi. I saw you closed this issue, but even in version 15.0.6 the problem is still there, I do not get any news with my external reader. Did I miss a solution?

We don't really provide support for software that uses our API. The issues that are logged in your report are resolved so I consider this solved. If you can work out a test case with the developer of the external reader we can look into it.

Thank you for the feedback. Of course you don't have to debug other people's software. It's just that it happened after an update of your app and without changes to their software, so I was wondering if this break was intentional or a bug. I guess I have to downgrade the news app then, or can you recommend an external feed reader for linux that works with the latest version?
