Monica: Deleting is way too difficult

There should be an option to delete from the contacts list view. Especially given that people are importing contacts via vCards. I know it says to purge the list before you import, but it would be so much easier to tick some boxes in the app and delete people I don't want without having to manipulate a huge load of vCard files.

Wouldn't be easier to process the vCards, generate a list where you check/uncheck contacts and finish the import ?

That seems like it'd be important, however the ability to mass delete is crucial I think. It might not necessarily be a case that would only exist when importing vCards.

I hear you and I understand. I'm focused right now on the custom relationships feature (#19) but this is something we could do right after.

This combined with #1479 is causing me difficulty right now. I would conceptualize an ideal system as something similar to how Google Contacts lets you select multiple contacts and delete/tag/etc all at once. It's definitely very unwieldy right now when having to open each contact separately to delete or tag them.

Is this on the roadmap? I just had an import from LinkedIn go wrong and now have 600+ blank contacts :(

I might have some bandwidth to work on this in a few weeks - not a core contributor but I was really annoyed by this when it happened. I've gotten better at Laravel since then, might be able to manage a PR.
