I built a template for material-ui: https://github.com/alexanmtz/material-sense
I would like to make a Pull Request to add it to the docs, is that possible?
I want to have my template available at Material UI docs page, as a curated template.
Hey @alexanmtz, I'm happy to see this project :). I think that we can link it in the documentation. However, something is off with the mobile breakpoint. Could you have a look at it first? Thank you.
Great @oliviertassinari, thanks for the feedback and sorry, I think now I've made all the adjustments to work more mobile friendly :)
And good to know at first that is possible to make it available on docs 馃摌
I'm not sure where we can link this project, maybe in the https://material-ui.com/discover-more/related-projects/ page? The premium-theme pages try to demonstrate how people can build custom themes on top of Material-UI. Once your project is more mature, yes, I think that we will be able to link it in this section.
@oliviertassinari I've been using the Dashboard pro and the Paperbase and the Material Sense don't seems to me a different approach, and actually it has libraries like router included to kickstart a project, and serve as an example to study how to customize Material UI.
So I think it would be better to be listed as template on top of Material-ui like the others, rather than a related project, which in this case it seems to me more like libraries, that is not the case of the template I'm proposing to add.
But if that the case that is not mature enough I think I'm on the right place, cause I would like to know what else is needed to make it more mature :)
Well, I will keep improving it, this is a first release.
@alexanmtz This is fair. @mbrookes Do you want to settle this matter? :)
@alexanmtz I understand your point, but I think your project falls more into the category of boilerplate / template than theme. While some of the themes also have the necessary libraries to launch them, the focus is on the the restyling of the core components.
I think it could be linked from https://material-ui.com/getting-started/example-projects/ as a more advanced example. Would that work?
Hello @mbrookes , you're right, it could be considered a boilerplate and fits well with the examples projects, and I see there's one with create-react-app, and in this case it could be considered as an advanced example indeed with create react app + react router + docker
You think would be better to move the project from my repo to the source of the material ui as the other examples, or just a link?
I would vote for a link.
