Material-ui: [List] Expand Animation

(as discussed in #3241 before the issue derailed)

The nested/expandable list should be animated when opening/closing, similar to the left nav on https://www.google.com/design/spec/animation/authentic-motion.html

Also from that page:

In the physical world, forces must be applied to an object in order for it to move. The strength and duration of these forces dictate how quickly an object accelerates, decelerates, or changes direction. Even the most jarring stops and starts are not instantaneous, because it takes time for an object to speed up or slow down. Consequently, when animations have abrupt starts, stops, or changes in direction, they appear unnatural.

Should another issue for Animations be made as well? I got here searching for animations. Similar to http://api.jquery.com/category/effects/ or http://easings.net/ Mainly I have a progress bar I'd like to animate in instead of having it just appear and shift around other elements on the page.

As the issue is closed; does it mean that this will be available in the next release?

Whats the status of this? List animation is really missing

While I am also keen for a proper solution, this Stack Overflow solution is working pretty well for me.
