
The workspace doesn't seem to be affected. When going into the settings it appears that that Material theme isn't even an option under the theme tab.
exactly same issue here, I am using webstrome 10.0.

You have to go to Preferences -> Editor -> Colors & Fonts and change the scheme there as well. I think you have to do this even when you switch from the default to Darcula, so I think this is fairly low priority.
And yes, the theme does not show up in the dropdown, so that's still an issue. You can apply it by going to Tools -> Material Theme -> (choose one)
I don't think it's possible to add a theme to the dropdown without modifying your system's (or user's) swing.properties, or IntelliJ core.
