Material-components-android: [Slider] Track click target is too vertically narrow to reliably click

Description: Clicking on Slider track does not change the thumb position and corresponding selected value.

Expected behavior: Clicking anywhere other than the thumb current position on the track should update the thumb location.

Additional info: This issue seems to only appear on Samsung devices. Tested on Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Fold running Android 9. Reproducible using the Material Components demo app for Slider (continuous and discrete).

@williamdcole Unfortunately, without the proper device I cannot reproduce this issue. However, I would like to learn more about this problem so that it does not happen in the future.

One problem I see is that the vertical touch area for the slider is quite small. Does the slider not work sometimes, or is the problem apparent everytime? If you sent a video of this behavior (while in the catalog app) I may be able to help you better 😸

I recommend you use a high-quality mp4, rather than a gif and enable touch targets to allow me to see where you are clicking.

@ethanhsuhsu After checking again with your advice, it appears the issue I experienced is related to the small touch area. I wasn't clicking precisely on the track, but now that I'm trying, I can see that clicking works, it's just difficult to hit the touch target. I suppose this issue should be changed to a feature request to increase the size of the tappable area.
