For reference: https://github.com/frptools/collectable/tree/master/packages/map
The first heading uses a logo image, marked up as a heading so that I can link to that part of the page. The logo image provides alt text, but the alt text is disregarded for the purposes of anchor slug generation. If the heading has no regular text, but contains an image, the alt text should be used as the text.
Since this has to do with markdown rendering, not markup, please reach out to the support team with this feature request.
Thanks, I'll do that.
Just a suggestion; given that you work at Github, and I've reported an issue with your platform, and presumably you care about the quality of your platform, this is the kind of thing that's perhaps worth proactively forwarding on when you see it? Leaving a good impression with users, QA, etc.
I realize this has to do with rendering and not markup, but since Google shows this thread when searching for similar issue: @axefrog, did you find a way to do that? What did the support reply to you?
@astorije Nope, no reply, no updates, and honestly I forgot all about it until I got this notification just now.
Sorry to hear you didn't get our response! Here's what we sent:
While this isn't currently possible, we've shared it with the team for consideration, though we can't make any promises about its implementation. Let us know if you have any other ideas!
Our current method for logging feature requests is based on the messages that come into support. If that changes in the future, I'm happy to log your requests without having you reach out to the support team yourselves.
@shawnajean You're right - now that you mention it, I vaguely recall the response. It was so long ago, and didn't yield anything helpful, so I completely forgot.
@shawnajean, should this ever be supported, would you mind posting something here?
I don't know if you get a lot of requests for this, but looking at READMEs out there, logos as headings are a very common thing, so support for this would help these cases a lot :)
Thanks!
Hey @astorije! 馃憢 I will definitely try my best to circle back here if this gets implemented.
