Live Share Version: 0.3.92
OS: All
When using Windows 7, shared terminals that contain escape sequences will show incorrect characters rather than processing the escape sequence.
This also happens between two Windows 8 machines
This also happends with a W7 and W10 machines. I don't thinks it's machines related.
Is it possible to open the shared command line in an external tool?
Like Cmdr or Git Bash?
Maybe they could handle the display problem?
No, unfortunately, Live Share doesn't provide this extension point. We're working on fixing the escape sequences rendering and expect the fix to be ready soon.
This has been fixed, so if folks update to the latest Live Share extension (as well as Whack Whack Terminal, if you're using VS), then your shared terminal experience on Win7 should be good to go. Thanks again for the feedback here!
