Kiss: Add ability to change icon

At the moment I get difficulties with the app icons. I know there was a setting where you can change the icon pack. But, in my icon pack there are also additional alternative icons in case we find the default to be a little unsatisfying. In KISS, I never get the option.

I think it would be a good idea to add an extra setting in the app menu where you can change the icon and choose from the image files on your phone or the icon pack you have

I would, rather, use the Smart launcher instead. They would allow you to change icons and search for shortcuts. But, there are no tags function. :(

What alternatives are you thinking about? The generic tab from the icons app?
I can't find it any app or game with alternative icons 🤔

There are some in there. There are alternatives with android, messages, email, voicemail, literally any of them

Or you could just look up the word "alt" and find a bunch of them.

I mean, I'm not asking for you guys to change the defaults of the icons.

I just want a setting to change the icons.

I installed Smart Launcher 5 to see how it handles the icons and icon packs. It gave me some ideas.
From what I gather it allows me to choose an icon from another app that is defined in the icon pack.
It also has the _adaptive icons_ and _not adaptive_ as well as the design from the icon pack.

I did not. It seems like a good launcher filled with bells and whistles, not my cup of tea anymore.

I'll look into adding more icon pack logic into KISS 😉

I would also love to be able to chose any icon I want from any icon pack.
I currently use the Frozen icon pack from F-Droid, but because some apps are not part of that pack you get some quite ugly outliers.
E.G. I use a phone app with a hideous icon and would love to simply use the standard phone icon from the Frozen pack.

Could you add a function for individual icon changing? That will make kiss the best launcher app, imo. Aestetically pleasing and efficient.
