Kiss: Favorite Bar Small Icons [Add option for icon size]

KISS launcher displays icons in the Favourite's bar at a reduced size when compared to other launchers. This affects system icons and custom icon packs. Some packs are purposely made to be large (these look normal in KISS), whereas standard icon packs appear small. I have submitted 2 screenshots, one running KISS, the other running the same icon pack on Lawnchair Launcher with icon scale set at 100%.

• KISS v3.1.0
• Android 7.0
• Huawei P9 Mini Lite (SLA-L02)
• EMUI 5.1

A simple fix (increasing default size) would be sufficient, a more comprehensive solution (adding icon size options) is not really necessary, although I think a lot of people would appreciate it.

Why do you believe the other launcher holds the truth?

The following launchers:

• Stock Emui
• Nova Pro
• Lean Launcher
• Lawnchair
• Evie
• ASAP

Display the icons at roughly the same size, it is only KISS that displays them downsized. I am willing to bet most others display them larger as well, due to most using roughly the same frameworks/base (I'm not aware of the technicalities of Android development, but I hardly doubt the mass of available launchers are coded from scratch, or have custom implementations for these things).

Right now, favorite size is constrained by code:

We could increase that, but then I'm sure a lot of people would complain that the favorites take too much space on their screen ;)
It's also worth noting that smaller favorites mean more horizontal space, meaning we can fit up to 6 favorites. In your screenshot, displaying 6 items would be harder if you want to keep the same width.

True, but the quick access of KISS makes too many favourite apps a bit redundant in my opinion, how difficult would it be to implement an option for different sizes like in some other launchers? I don't really need a slider that is really specific, but something like:

• Standard (100% of present size)
• Larger (110%)
• Largest (125%)

I would want them to be sized about the same as normal launchers, nothing too outlandish. I sometimes have a hard time tapping them on the first try because I'm used to larger icons.

Lawnchair allows up to 9 (although they're clipped), but yes, they can display 6 and still have larger icons. See here, and keep in mind the outer margins are still the same, if they were reduced, it would still have 6 icons with sufficient breathing room.

Looks good to me, my aim was to make the icon size closer to other default
launchers, as it stands I have trouble clicking the icons because of the
discrepancy. Any ETA on when it will be included in the app? I'm already a
BETA tester.

I think I'll release something soon, I've done a lot of improvements in the past two weeks and it's time to send that to the Beta channel! Expect something this weekend.
