Kirki: add multiple image uploader

I don't know if it's possible to add a multiple image uploader or if it's a lot of work for a particular problem but i think that if this multiple image uploader exist a lot of person will use it.

No actually i wonder if according to you such control is interesting to add in Kirki ?
I've seen a serie of tuto about that here and think that maybe in future Kirki could have this control.
What do you think ?

Hey guys,

It is possible both with and without Kirki. It is possible within the repeater control but should also be working with the classic image/cropped_image control.

Are you having issues with it?

@guillaumemolter I must have missed something.
In my image field when you choose an image there is two buttons remove and change file.
No way for adding an other image. What is your code for having multiple image uploader in kirki ?

@michellomp sorry I misunderstood your request! I thought you wanted to add multiple image fields to 1 section. My bad...

As @aristath suggested, you should use the repeater field for this. Since the Core WP_Customize_Media_Control doesn't support multi-file selection yet, I don't see it coming to Kirki anytime soon, but I might be wrong :-).

@cmwwebfx the repeater field is perfect for sliders.

@guillaumemolter In the add media of a post there is a gallery which let you choose multiple image .
I know it isn't the same that multiple uploader but it can do the same job.


For example if you build a slider in the repeater you can use this to add the image you want to see in each slider.
I know it isn't a priority and it won't coming to Kirki anytime soon but maybe one day :-)

It won't be that long... I just have to prioritize fixing some bugs before adding new features. 👍
