Kibana: add full screen parameter for shared URLs

Created on 8 May 2019  路  5Comments  路  Source: elastic/kibana

this is a dup of issue #22064
--> no answer and i cant reopen it.

Describe the feature:
Adding a URL parameter to go directly into the full screen-mode of the dashboard.
This should also work with shared URLs.

embed = true is NOT a workaround!
you cant leave the embed=true mode by pressing ESC and for example you are not able to switch over to machine learing.

Describe a specific use case for the feature:
The use case for the feature is to start a dashboard automatically in full screen without any user interaction. For example after a device restart (raspberry pi which displays kibana dashboards on a monitor).

A parameter for shared URLs would take over the manually task we need to do everyday (to enable the full screen mode after a device restart)

Dashboard Presentation enhancement

Most helpful comment

+1 extensive use of stand alone dashboards on wall mounted screens and shorturls in general workflows.

Current work around is a lot of hand editing of the full URL to a minimum version with forced parameter, and that is painful.
