Description of the problem including expected versus actual behavior:
After migrating from Kibana 5.5.2 to Kibana 5.6.0 dashboards are showing scrollbars for some visualizations. It seems that scrollbars are shown for visualizations with reduced size.
If I downgrade to Kibana 5.5.2 dashboards are shown correctly again.
Example dashboard with Kibana 5.6.0

Same dashboard with Kibana 5.5.2

I've got the same problem.
Please fix this, the whole dashboard is messed up...

Removing .style('overflow-y', 'auto') from src/ui/public/vislib/visualizations/gauge_chart.js line 42
fixes this problem.

Seems this wasn't fixed in 5.6.3 :( Any plans for a fix in 5.x?
Adding the above fix seems to work somewhat, but unlike prior to 5.6, it seems the visualization takes too much space (for lack of better word), so the custom label is shown behind the other visualizations on the dashboard.
@ppisljar recently commented on #14229:
we're gonna revert to the old metric vis (pre 5.5)
That comment is relating to 6.0, but I wonder if they're going to revert to the old metric vis for 5.6 as well and if that will resolve the scrollbar issue for metric vis?
Will it be fixed in 5.6.4 or 6.0.0?
5.6.4 was released today, but this issue is still open.
@thomasneirynck @ppisljar any ideas when this might be resolved?
Thanks in advance!
@dougburks sorry for the delay. We'll be addressing this shortly. please keep an eye out for updates, thx.
This is the only reason I am not upgrading. Please fix.
has it been fixed in v6.0.0 ?
no
we have a PR up for this so hopefully it gets reviewed soon and we can deliver this with next patch versions for 5.6 and 6.0
