The issue described in https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/7246 also occurs in kibana 4.6

Is there any chance this fix can be backported to 4.6?

I ran this in a test build and it worked fine :+1:

Unfortunately i cannot upgrade to kibana5 because graylog doesn't support elasticsearch5 yet.
