This relates to https://github.com/elastic/elasticsearch/issues/20355
In my index I have documents that represent trips, where I have an array of geopoints that can be joined as lines and laid over a map to show the route taken.
It'd be awesome if we could display this in a tilemap and also leverage the aggregation above (the one that doesn't yet exist, I know) to display a trip length as drop pins, starting at 0, ending at N.
there was a recent forum discussion about user asking for just this: https://discuss.elastic.co/t/draw-path-on-the-map/58472/6

That emoji is unfortunately not available if you happen to lurk by cell phone or other tiny displays. Not sure how to solve this, the only thing that comes to mind is to demand obeyance, using horrible punishments.
I didn't consider non-desktop, so thanks for the reminder :)

We are working on a new implementation of map visualizations and are not planning to add any new features to the existing implementation. We will take this suggestion under consideration for the new app.
