Currently, if you try to use the feature that automatically searches for an entry via app name (com.etc.etc), it updates and searches on the entries' url field. I would like to see that moved to a different property (one of the custom fields), i.e, "androidAppId".
I very much agree. I have many entries that need an app id as well as a valid web url for use on my pc. KeePass on my pc will not care about nor need access to a custom field (i suggest mobileAppId to be inclusive of other OSs) but my pc does need the web url. As it is now i need two entries, one for mobile and one for pc. On startup move all url entries that start with "com." to the new custom field to make a seamless transition. Thank you for your work!
In the desktop app, on the advanced tab for an entry, if you create a string field with the value of the android app name (e.g. com.whatever) and a suitable field name for your purposes, this creates the necessary knitting. Having the Android app itself be configurable (or use a sensible default like keepass2android) as to where these URLs get saved in the DB instead of the default URL field would certainly be useful though.
