K9s: There is a significant performance drop between 0.21.2 and 0.21.4.

Describe the bug

It is very clear that installing 0.21.4 had a performance drop. Suddenly, the cursor started flickering, the logs wouldn't load and stepping between rows is now painful as the highlighted row just hangs several times while stepping around.

I tried installing via brew and via release binary as well but it's the same result. I installed 0.21.2 and the performance is back to normal. No flickering, no hanging.

To Reproduce
Just running it.

Expected behavior
Performance shouldn't degrade.

Versions (please complete the following information):

  • OS: [e.g. OSX]
  • K9s [e.g. 0.21.2-0.21.4]
  • K8s [e.g. 1.17.0]

@Skarlso Thank you for reporting this! I did notice the cursor issue and will fix in the next drop. As for the logs, you're going to have to be more specific as several folks have reported a significant perf improvement since the latest release...

Super awesome. Hmm, I noticed that, for example, for a long running service with a longer output, it just says, waiting for logs, while, 21.2 would load them fairly quickly. I'm not sure what causes this. I don't have any logs I can provide. :(

I'll try to capture a gif for you or something. :)

Experienced the similar (slow, flickering cursor) running on:

  • Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS
  • macOS Catalina
  • CentOS 7.7

Replaced to 0.21.2 => no issue with the cursor

Re-tested. Works absolutely perfectly! Much appreciated @derailed! :) <3 Love k9s. Couldn't work without it. :)
