Ipfs-desktop: Fatal error while trying to fsck the repo

I used webui via desktop to update my cors settings. I tried to restart the daemon via the power button. after about 20s i got the "app error" dialog box. When i tried to restart, i got the same error.

Running ipfs-desktop from source with the same repo, i get the above error.

running ipfs daemon from the cli, starts without error.
