I'd like to request a preference to draw the controls off the active video area. I am having an issue where the controls overlap with subtitles. I know I can reposition the subtitles, but it would be nice to have this as an option in preferences. I know it is Apple's convention to draw controls over the active video area (as in Quicktime Player X), and I appreciate that IINA is a modern Apple styled application, but I prefer to have the controls and the menubar OFF of the active video area. I appreciate that this is pretty complex and may not be implemented, but I thought I'd give it a shot. Thanks!

While a overlaying the controller makes sense when the video's aspect ration matches that of the screen, more often the aspect ratio is wider, leaving plenty of unused screen vertical space to place the controller below the video rather than overlaying it.
It seems rather silly to unnecessarily cover up part of the movie when there is no need to! 馃槈
If the goal is to have a borderless video window during normal playback, then the controller can "pop down", stretching the window as needed, not moving the video because that would be annoying.
@jerkstore369 That's also in the plan.
