Golden-layout: Time of a new release?

Can we have a new release since there are some interesting features in master already?
Also, please look at accepting/merging some of the available pull requests.

To add, I've totally dropped the ball on this recently. I've been super
busy on other projects, but was hoping to get back to merge some PRs and
attend to some bugs soon. Sorry @WolframHempel that you had to step in and
intervene here!

GL has gone really quiet for a while now, the number of open issues has probably doubled over the last year, and there are probably lots that could be closed, or a path towards closure could be set by way of just minor adjustments or guidance by experts...

I'm sorry I don't have much time myself for GL at the moment, but I am happy to contribute a sentence or two about my own still open issues, to help you with your review:

1. Issue #342 has a fix merged to master, so can be closed on next release.
2. Issue #341 is just release admin, the latest release of GL is not published to the GL website, even though the modified time stamp looks correct for the time of the latest release.
3. Issue #261 I just commented on, COULD be closed on doc update if you guys think it's appropriate, though you might not necessarily think that's best. It's just easiest.
4. Issue #253 can certainly be closed on documentation update.
5. Issue #239 needs proper thought and a fix, though it does have a work around so probably low/med priority.

I wonder if perhaps you might consider publishing the documentation to a repo, or the repo (probably better if it was markdown for this, but whatever, any format would be beneficial) so the community can contribute documentation updates...
