Seems to be snapping only to upper-left corner. Or was it always like that?

Yes, I never implemented center snapping.
For some reason I thought it used to be there 馃
I guess the visible snapping guides now help to see where the nodes snap. :)
It would be useful to also snap different sides of the moved node. As you see in the gif, only the top-left corner is targeted for snap, and sometimes I would like to match bottoms of the nodes etc.
