Godot: Add pr (Pirate English) as a locale

I'd be willing to work on this locale. Other projects, like the Sponge docs have Pirate English as a locale.

It could make work more fun. Instead of just debugging your game, your a buccaneer on a ship, with stacks sinking the sip (ie stack overflow) and nodes that need to walk the plank for one reason or another.
EDIT: It could also be a point of bragging. "Yeah, sure, your engine has real-time global illumination, but can it talk like a pirate?"

That would be cool, but PT is the country code for Portugal, so that's very misleading.

Looks like Weblate (the platform we use for translations) has a pr language: https://hosted.weblate.org/languages/pr/

My little nephew would like to add the "areu" locale to Godot.
It is a language that he has invented.

Also, as a Startrek TNG fan , I think it would be cool to add "Klingon". The official ISO code is tlh.

Also, for Christmas, i would like to make a present to my brother.
As he reminds me the character Tilk from Stargate, I think it would be cool if we added the "Goa'uld" language support to Godot too.

As well, I'm willing to add a special fake useless fictional language support to Godot to make a present to each one of my friends according to their favorite fiction.

Also, in the future, Godot might be used by Extraterrestrial species or stumbled uppon by extraterestrial archaologist. So I think it would be cool to add support for "aUI" and "Lincos" languages.

When you're done being an ass, you can start working on PO files for those. If the translations are good, we might include them.

and for my requests, you call me an ass and tell me i have to work on them on my own ?

OP _is_ working on the English Pirate locale. And if translators are willing to work on it, then there's no reason not to include well translated languages.

If you _do_ want to work on the translations of all the languages you listed to show you're clever, I'll gladly add their templates to Weblate if the platform supports them. That costs less energy than having to cope with your ranting.

And as a matter of fact, I think having the editor talking Piratespeak would be cool :) So that makes already two people interested in it, which is more than your imaginary friends.

I think anyone who wants to argue for Pirate English must comment in Pirate
English to show how committed they are to it.

I believe there is no harm in adding funny languages as long as users can always choose to use them or not and the list of them doesn't grow too long.

Another downside is that if a number of fantasy languages are added as time goes by, they will probably get outdated as maintainers get bored and abandon them.

And what about the docs? As soon as they are complete in English it would be nice to have them translated to the biggest possible subset of supported languages. And I wonder if the Elvish translators will be up to the task for very long.

Not that I am against this, but I'm surprised that opinions against are being so unpopular so I wanted to add my view.

This is a complete waste of time and I am totally okay with it.

Would love to have it around for next talk-like-a-pirate-day.

These languages may be useful for thematic game contests in the future I suppose. ;)

@RandomShaper Well unless your system locale is pr_TORTUGA, it will of course be opt-in. If it grows unmaintained, git rm is not hard to use. Docs are not yet translated in real languages, so there won't be any focus on "fake" language for now. So I don't see anything wrong with giving freedom of choice. The _only_ downside is likely a few kB of text added to the editor binary. :)

I guess I'm thinking here as an obsessive programmer whilst this area

Shouldn't this be "en_PR" if it's a type of English ("en")?
