It tries to build all 3 linux types.
debian works ( hence i closed this issue: https://github.com/go-flutter-desktop/go-flutter/issues/284)

This issue is related to the snapcraft docker container running on darwin.

Might be the cause:

There is an issue with linking when mounting your hfs+ filesystem inside a container which is what I think is what you are experimenting. If you do the clone while inside a docker shell, this might just work.

FWIW:
Reading at the snapcraft traceback, here is the run down:

This line raises an exception.
Then in the catch, this function gets called.
Finally during the exception handle, another exception occurs at this line.

Can you share the content of /var/folders/wp/XXXXXXXX/YY/hover-build-enrollment-linux-snapzzzz directory (as a zip). (I only want the draggable_borderless example!)

The path is printed on the log when running hover build linux-snap i.e.:

Thanks for sharing (and taking time to upload this big blob).
I ran the following command on linux, and it worked.

$ cd dockertemp/T/hover-build-draggable_borderless-linux-snap875683786
$ docker build . -t hover-snap-manual 
$  docker run -w /app -v $(pwd):/app hover-snap-manual snapcraft
# produced draggableborderless_1.0.0+1_amd64.snap

I also deleted the lib dir (the one that produced your error) and it worked.

$ cd dockertemp/T/hover-build-draggable_borderless-linux-snap875683786
$ rm -rf parts/app/install/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/lib
$ # docker build . -t hover-snap-manual  # the same as the one above, not going to run it twice 
$ docker run -w /app -v $(pwd):/app hover-snap-manual snapcraft 
# produced draggableborderless_1.0.0+1_amd64.snap

I cannot assert that the second snap file is working, but if want a workaround, you can try the second one.

As I can build the snap file on linux, this issue is related to docker snapcraft and MacOS. (not really hover).
Packaging is very new, as long as you have support for appimage, I wouldn't care.

ok makes sense and thanks for showing the commands from linux to help us debug things too.

I should get CI setup so that it does these hover builds on a linux machine with docker. At least for now. Might be able to use the new Github actions or another way. I need to work on that for the team here.
