Mortal Kombat crashing with exception in Cxbx-Reloaded b7f4b23(24 Dec 2016).

Why I think that is issue - at 791f885 (23 Dec 2016) MK boots until start menu (without graphics but with sound). Second run - error with trying dashboard loading. Cleaning of folder "AppData/Cxbx-Reloaded" will fix it, next try will also lead to start menu, next - boot dashboard,etc.

A comment, dated November 18, 2020, under a recent PR 2033, that was opened two weeks ago on November 16, 2020 (And then merged later on Nov 21), showed that all of the UI-related element in _Mortal Kombat: Deception_ and _Mortal Kombat: Armageddon_ should already be rendered. The PR, which is about improving viewport calculations, fixed the scaling of the menu on-screen.

Please retest this game.

HUD: fixed. Now the game looks almost perfect, except the textures missing on some arenas on the floor.

Create Profile crash: fixed. Now we can enter Konquest mode, and it works perfectly.
Music and some audio are still missing.
Black square and slowing down after three-four matches: fixed. Seems like the game is finally beatable.
New issue: fighter models flicker in the battles (looks like some random body parts are dissapear for 1 FPS and reappear), and some active arena elements flicker as well (for instance, palms on Yin-Yang Island).

At 2016-01-04 e5954a7 CXBX has strange behavior with MK Deception.
After first attemt it crashed sometimes. Then i tryied some other games (WWE RAW2, Shenmue II).
After it I tryied MK again- it boots with black screen until title screen or menu i guess.

Also note - if you clean AppData-CxbxReloaded folder then after boot you get error somelike "* The xbe rebooted to Dashboard and xboxdash.xbe could not be found (I don't have dash so it wont't boot either)". If you try after it boot MK agein it will boot like I described. At log repeately this:

Sometimes it just closing without error, i don't have log after it.

Upon loading all FMV's run super quick, I turned on force vsync and videos were normal
Audio is perfect
I can only seem to play Classic

Menu Works but only in B&W

I guess - Kollectors Edition is only MK1 with some videos.

MK Deception regressed on this commit e4be8e8765a74c3b0866c24f2add1e1f7ee0e878 - crash XID_fCloseDevice+0x3cd7cad.

Mortal Kombat Deception regressed - no more FMVs, press Start menu.
Tested on latest master, 1e61144b.
I'll find regressed build in few hours.

Update 2:
On latest master 55b6b318 is much worse then before - game crashes without any errors during first FMV (nothing renders, only looping sound).

Also, in 3rd or 4th battle in a row, left half of screen fills black and FPS drops to half-speed. Same problem with MK Armageddon.
Also MK Deception crashes if you try to create profile or to enter moves list.
Some sounds are present. No music though.
