Gala: Window stuck outside of screen when second monitor is disconnected

When the secondary screen is disconnected, any window on that screen is lost, even if I close and reopen it, it tries to open on the non-existent secondary display.

It's worse than that, if that secondary monitor is the primary one, you're stuck without the dock or the applications menu.
It should be detected when a monitor is unplugged and set the default settings for one monitor setup.

Up. This also happens to me sometimes.
Actually I was looking for a shortcut for "Reset screen" that fix every windows inside the main one, but there isn't.

It's a bit OT, but when I disconnect my second monitor, Plank also stops showing on main screen if I move the cursor on the bottom...

A temporary fix for this is opening System Settings every time you unplug the secondary screen. It will move everything back to the working monitor.

For some reason elementary doesn't detect that you unplugged the cable so it thinks the secondary monitor is still connected.
