The watchx ships soon. I believe it's firmware is open source. As it's essentially an Arduino and we can control both sides of the comms this shouldn't be that hard to add basic notifications.

Is this different from xwatch (https://github.com/Freeyourgadget/Gadgetbridge/pull/972) or typo?

It is an altogether different device to the xwatch
Did you approach the watchx team? We can certainly add support for it, but we have no device, nor know anything about it. It it supports the generic bluetooth profiles, we would just know how to recognize and connect to it.
Dear @cpfeiffer
This is Enes from argeX team. We are willing to send a prototype device and supply you with necessary information if you want to work on it.
Please let us know. :)
Hey @argeX-official, that's very cool! :+1:
Can you send a mail [email protected] so we can give you a shipping address?
TIA :heart:

We have just sent you a mail. And we must state that we are really excited about the Gadgetbridge. We are sure that this will open up the possibility for a truly open source, wearable development platform.
Looking forward to hearing from you. 馃憤
@argex-official You guys rock.
Did you guys do any work on this?
I just received my watch today.
Dear @kghunt ,
Sorry that we haven't done anything regarding to Gadgetbridge yet. We were really busy on delivering the watchX to our backers. Now we are working around the clock to finish and upload the downloadable materials to our website. They will also be available soon.
But on the other hand, we have contacted the Gadgetbridge team and got their address info. We will surely supply them with a watchX unit and let them work on it :)
We are really excited about the future collaborations.
