I'll try to do both of these.

perhaps one-level nesting of folder, just as what implemented in the app "things"? (see attached)

Previously there was a discussion about nested folder. I think fsnotes fits to the light weight / agile app category and I agree unlimited nesting is not a good idea.

@jakemkc which app is the screen grab from? Ah: Things

I am trying to break away from nesting folders, to use tags more, but I think your idea is a good compromise. Discussion on folder hierarchy continued in https://github.com/glushchenko/fsnotes/issues/188

  1. API for plugin/extensions support

I created #500 to discuss this.

@gingerbeardman raised issue #328 to discuss adding AppleScript support, but I would consider that a separate feature. The goal of plugins here is not to control FSNotes itself, but to execute an external command with the current note as input (optionally inserting a response back into the note content). A plugin itself could be an AppleScript which in turn controls FSNotes, if it were controllable via AppleScript.

  1. API for plugin/extensions support ...

@quinncomendant kind of related is an old issue for AppleScript support https://github.com/glushchenko/fsnotes/issues/328. But I don鈥檛 mind whatever mechanism is used.

For encryption and sync can I suggest you take a look at https://standardfile.org/ and it's https://standardnotes.org/ as an example? #378

  1. Non-contiguous selections, rectangular selections, multiple cursors.

I think new requests should have a related issue created?

@rogeriomarques
@quinncomendant
@jakemkc

I have done so.

@gingerbeardman, did you add a reference to #378 in my comment suggesting a plugin API? That issue doesn't seem related.

  1. Context-aware word autocomplete - #499.

Sorry, typo! Fixed. Thanks for the headsup.
