Freshrss: Feature Request: Anonymous viewing mode for a non-default user

Created on 27 May 2017  路  6Comments  路  Source: FreshRSS/FreshRSS

Hi there,

Currently there is an option that allows for the default user's content to be viewed anonymously. Could you possibly add an option to choose another non-default user's content to become public instead? Thanks!

Cheers!

@infominer33 What you ask is maybe more re-sharing feature, isn't it?
There is already a possibility to re-share RSS feeds for any view of any user in FreshRSS, even without anonymous login.

I plan to rework the token system to have distinct tokens per view, and also provide an HTML view in addition of the RSS output.

Hello @Aasemoon ,
It would not be that complicated to implement. I am however a bit concerned about introducing more concepts, and more options (with their UI, translations, documentation, etc.). Let's see what we can do :-)

@Alkarex Thanks! =)

+1
anonymous view for normal users would be nice!

Also love the idea of allowing any user to make their personal feed collections public, or even just to publish specific feeds.

if not to incorporate into freshrss, then maybe a lead on how to accomplish if I want to separate default user from publicly shared feeds?

I really need to have 1 set of public feeds without login, then another, more extensive set, for registered users.

thanks!

hmm maybe that will work! I've been weighing out the possibilities pretty strongly, but just stumbled upon an implementation of freshrss in the wild and really love the feel.

Thanks
