Franz: Icon in tray is not showing when Franz is autostarted in Ubuntu 20.04 KDE

SInce I updated to Franz 5.5.0, the mustaches icon is not showing in the tray after login (Franz is autostarted and starts correctly, but without icon).
If I close Franz and open it again, the icon is where it should be, so I think is something related to autostart feature.

This smells of an upstream Electron change, which itself stems from Chromium. Probably introduced here with the upgrade to 8.0.1 (a406262c98097c82393da886a58b2ae3b9da6ac3) or 8.1.1 (5b00c9003f823db9adb6cb663d4196a14837c199).

Electron appears to have "fixed the glitch" by restoring the original implmentation in https://github.com/electron/electron/pull/23674. It was backported to 8.3.2 and 9.0.3. A rebuild with either version of Electron may make this whole thing go away with minimal effort.

Similar to that, my tray icon does not show up to after upgrading. In contrast to you it does not reappear when I restart Franz and close it again.

System: Linux Mint 19.3 with Cinnamon

If somebody tells me how to do I can help by providing logs.

Same issue happening on Windows 10. the icon on the taskbar is not showing.

Same here, Manjaro i3 - 20.0.1. It also does not reappear for me after the manual start. It's just gone :slightly_frowning_face:

Same here - on Ubuntu 18.04 on Unity. Mine doesn't come back if I kill at and restart either. Franz 5.4.1 works fine.

Same problem on Fedora 32. Using v5.5.0
Yeaaah, bad update it had 4 betas & still nobody noticed this bug before going to production?
Will roll-back to v5.4.1

Let's wait for the fix.

Franz 5.4.1 isn't ideal also. Or maybe it's related to Electron again...
I've Fedora 32 with cinnamon DE and when I start Franz, the system tray icon is so large that fits only half icon. But when switching related settings toggle, the icon gets to the normal state.

This problem is still present in 5.5.0 on Ubuntu 19.04.
