Font-awesome: Icon Request: icon-epub
It'd be great to have an icon of the ePUB - logo!

I'm going to offer free ePUB-downloads on my upcoming website so such an icon would be very welcome.
My apologies if it already exists.

Amazing this request is here now exactly 3 years and there's still no ePUB icon. It's really a no-brainer, so please, it would be very useful aesthetically and functionally. I currently use file-text(-o) for ePUB, but it just looks ... sub-optimal sitting there next to a PDF specific icon. Not to mention inaccurate.

I think the fact that there are 148 pages of requests for different icons might have something to do with it :)

After randomly scanning some of the open and closed tickets I believe that providing SVG artwork (here and not just a pointer) might go a long way to facilitating the request. Anyone?

Heh, I'm sorry if I came off as demanding, wasn't the intention. :D I was genuinely surprised this request is sitting for so long, somehow I would be less surprised if no one thought of it at all.
Anyway, what exactly is meant by “SVG artwork” here? The icon as it should look in the font? I'd be willing to try if I catch the time, although I feel a bit incompetent at making this type of artwork.

I could provide you with a clean SVG artwork if you could pull it from the repo though. Those SVG are actually just a vector file format. I usually did some clean up of the files in notepad++ after exporting it from Illustrator. The thing I am not sure about is whether or not there is any specific guidelines that I have to follow in order to get it approved. There are a few methods of cleaning up an SVG and I am not sure which part could be removed or cleaned up. http://thenewcode.com/807/SVG-Optimisation-The-Basics

I pulled this out of Wikimedia Commons and cleaned it up in Inkscape. Will this suffice?
