Application:
I know that the proxy config is maintained under
C:\Users\peschkef\AppData\Roaming\Ferdi\config\proxy.json
Currently the following is maintained.
{}
In the company we are using a proxy with URL and Port. How can I add that here?
Service:
I know that I can configure for each service the proxy here:

If I add the URL and Port for the Proxy and I restart ferdi the application gets stopped and cannot started again. Do you have any idea?
Just checked again, the proxy config cannot be saved.
I'm on the latest beta version 5.4.4 beta 3.
There should be a general option for proxy in the app setting PRIOR to setting a service. In my organization, I can't even retrieve the list of available services. I have to launch first, exit, then try to discover services, which will of course timeout because there is no proxy set.
In addition, the proxy doesn't work for me. We are using a mixed HTTP/HTTPS on port 8080 (so everything has to go through it, secured or not (80 and 443 among others).
For some reason, putting my proxy or trying to force https:// at the beginning doesn't work at all...
It makes it unusable in a business environment where proxies are common.
@klouisbrother At the moment it seems the proxy settings can only be configured at the service level; I suggest we add it on a global level under Settings > Advanced. Do you still experience issues saving your proxy settings with 5.5.0? Your console output could be useful 馃檹 View > Toggle Developer Tools
@tiliarou Thank you for sharing your use case, it is very relevant! I suggest we iterate over https://github.com/getferdi/ferdi/pull/717#issuecomment-624727029 for it to become Connection Settings, so we can, in addition to choose our server, configure a proxy right there before even logging in/starting using the app. What do you think?

@kytwb that would be great, good idea !
