Please, can you release new version on rubygems?
I need Faker::String.
We're working on it. The last thing we need to do is mark deprecations.
I'm going to work on the deprecations today, and I'll post a status later on.
I just reviewed all the merged PRs and found this one. I'm going to revert these changes and deprecate the methods. After that I believe we should be fine.
Is it fine now to release? :smiley:
Maybe... do you want to double-check that all the deprecations are covered? :)
Sorry, I must have misunderstood the previous messages and related PR. I thought that had already been done.
As far as I know, it has been done, but I'd like to have a second set of eyes to go over all the changes to ensure we haven't missed any deprecations. I'm hoping to do that this week.
Aaaah I see. It sounds sensible, it's a big release.
For what it's worth, I did a quick pass over the change log and couldn't spot any changes that clearly need deprecations.
Any updates on this? I'm stuck using master for now, but it is not guaranteed to work (as it doesn't work right now).
Faker 1.9.1 has been released. 1.9.0 had a failing test. :)
