Essentials: Using vanilla /give command

I like EssentialsX but I don't like the way it simplifies the /give command, as any generated command from another site doesn't work.
Is there a way to disable it and use the vanilla one?
the only thing I found in the config disabled the command entirely.

Append minecraft: to your command.

I.e:

/minecraft:give (website generated args here)
