Esp8266_deauther: No COM’s are showing up in the NodeMCU-flasher

I started setting up my deauther but I ran into this problem where no COM’s were showing up. I switched cables and that did nothing. I want through the whole process again to see if I did something wrong but I couldn’t find anything. So, I am just asking for help to solve this problem

{problem problem solved} [i was using a wrong type of cable] when i was re-reading the Drivers and COM Port i saw, (some USB cables are only for charging and don't have data lines), so i realized i was using the wrong type of cord. i facepalmed so hard, thanks for supporting my ignorance and sorry for the inconvenience
