Dxvk: Shadow Warrior 2 broken graphics

Shadow Warrior 2 (from GOG) launches fine to the menu but as soon as you enter a lelve the graphics are broken. It looks like this:

This warning is repated over and over again in the d3d11.log:

In regards to reports in discord, the same grphical issues also appear on radv and amdvlk.

System information

  • GPU: Nvidia GTX 970
  • Driver: 396.18.02 (same nehaviour with old and new compiler)
  • Wine version: 3.6
  • DXVK version: f71f527

Apitrace file(s)

The apitrace is done wiht dxvk active, doing it with wined3d crashes the game before the errors show up.

Log files

If you need an dxvk log level debug are vulkan validation layers, please ping me then i will install the vulkan sdk into that wineprefix.

I have all the same in this game.

I have same setup and same issue.

I'm aware of this issue, it's a general bug and not setup-specific.

Seems to be fixed in fb3dbd8.

It is working with AMD hardware as well. :)

How are you getting such a good framerates. I only get 1 or 2 FPS.

HW:
CPU: Ryzen 7 1700X
GPU: GTX 1070
Resolution: 1440p

Wine-staging 3.7
dxvk-bin from AUR

Terminal gets spammed with this messages:

disable nvapi

As we have sw2 running fine on nvidia and amd here, i think it is time to close the bug report cause the game seems to work fine. @RTheren: If disabling nvapi and other wine-staging nvidia specific things doesn't help, please check your overall setup.

@doitsujin I am having the same error message in Overwatch(but instead it doesnt start properly, probably when it starts generating shaders). I am using Wine 4.16 and DXVK 1.4.
Should I create an own issue for that?

I have absolutely no clue what error message you are talking about.

Overwatch is known to work on DXVK 1.4, please check your setup first before opening a bug report.

The game had no issues until the new patch today.
What should be the problem with my setup - Im having a AMD one with the FOSS graphics stack.

But what interface is it?

I can already tell you that this is not a bug.

Again, if you're having issues starting Overwatch, check your setup and make sure that the Streaming option in Battle.net is disabled.

@doitsujin If it worked before how should it be an issue with my setup? - It was directly after the update today. No streaming is disabled. Should I do a video to prove it - or what do you want?

Ok it seems like I need to say sorry because there has been just another patch today.
I still have one question - what causes the shader compilation to be so slow?
