Dash-to-dock: Is this project still updated?

Created on 26 Jun 2020  路  1Comment  路  Source: micheleg/dash-to-dock

It's been a while since the last commit, and some things that can be easily fixed/merged/rejected are waiting for review in the Pull Requests (such as #1254 and #1256). I know @micheleg is a busy person with lots of other concerns besides this extension and has been out of github activity since April 20. Thus, I'd like to know if this project is still being maintained and if Michele is the only one with commit access. Thanks for your time and attention.

Hi Pedro, you are right in noticing I haven't put much attention to this project lately for a variety of reasons. I'm technically not the only one with commit access to the repository. A few people form the Ubuntu team (e.g @3v1n0) have commit access, and indeed they have done most of the work in keeping the extension compatible with newer version of GNOME recently. Understandably, they have focused to the use case within the Ubuntu experience rather than the general one, although they have been extremely helpful and kind to fulfil these needs within the general project.

I'm open to consider getting other people involved with the development or leading of the project, if anybody is willing to commit, bringing in some fresh motivation. The extension is still part of my daily work and personal computing life -- as such the project is not dead, but stagnant, as It mostly fulfils my needs. For these reasons ideally I would not want the project to diverge too much, but others could do more and better then me!
