Cwa-wishlist: Improve logo / app icon design

The logo or app icon looks weird to me. The gradient is a bit pixelated. Very sharp razor blade shape, I would be afraid to cut myself if I would touch the logo. Looks very technical, like a brake disc, no organic shape like a virus cell might look like. And the colors look like they were converted from CMYK color mode, a bit pale. The very thin shadow suggests that the logo must be gigantic in real size but: the shadow is on top of the shape, which means we are looking at it from above. Or as if the logo would tip over towards the visitor.

On my phones homescreen, the logo sticks out immediately, but not in a good way. In total I think the logo looks very old fashioned, unprofessional, non-digital, low quality and not very 2020-high-tech-virus-defense-ish at all. Since we’re all having this thing on our homescreens for the next months, it would be nice, if it would be a little more beautiful.

But yet I like the concept, that the C grabs around the virus to catch it, so I would keep that.

Also I think a logo redesign should not differ too much from the original, because unfortunately there is already so much marketing material out there featuring the current "old" logo.
I will suggest some redesigns here, starting with just a very subtle retouch. If others have design suggestions, feel free to share as comment :)
