The user has to open the app in order to see if the exposure logging is active.
Add a persistent notification wich tells the user if exposure logging is active. If the user wants this notification should be adjustable in the settings.
The user can easily see if the logging is active and doesn麓t need to open the app.
Internal Tracking ID: EXPOSUREAPP-2135
Thanks for the proposal. As discussed in corona-warn-app/cwa-app-android#540 this should most likely be an opt-in feature ;)
We'll move it to the documentation repo as this needs to be discussed centrally for both apps.
Maybe a separate issue, but should be solved as well in this context: According to FAQ activating location is as bluetooth prerequisite for risk identification on android devices. When turning bluetooth off the cwa risk identification changes to off as well. But when setting loation to off the cwa risk identification stays on. Thus for the user location seems not be necessary.
@Spirit100 this is already a known issue but thanks for mentioning!
Dear @ChillerSargant ,
thank you very much for your proposal.
To give the community a space for discussing new feature ideas or enhancements that might not be taken up immediately by the development teams, we created the cwa-wishlist repository.
This idea is one of these feature ideas or enhancements. Consequently, we will move this issue to this repository and allow the community and you to further refine it, discuss pros and cons, and evaluate alternatives.
The issue will not be closed in this repository to ensure long-term visibility. All issues in the cwa-wishlist repository will be discussed with our contracting entities. They will decide whether they will be implemented or pursued further. As soon as we have any updates, we will let you know about the details.
Best regards,
TK
