Sometimes I am working in a pair (or more) of tabs, and then I need to see them side by side. It would be great to be able to drag the tab out of the window and have it spawn a new window. Like Chrome, IE, or other similar tab based windows.
Currently dragging the tabs merely lets the user rearrange the order of the tabs.
Surprise. There is "Unfasten" menu item.
Oh, nice! Sorry, I didn't find that in the menus. Would you consider implementing that function through the tab drag gesture?
Cool feature (although, hidden quite well:)
Next question: is there a way to fasten it back? "Attach to" kind of does it, but ends up with double status bar..
You have to detach console window first.
Thank you! But usability problem still there. I join the drag-n-drop request
+1 for drag and drop (like the way browser tabs work).
+1, while you at it: also docking support (inside another console)
+1, for tab drag and drop support like browsers, gnome-terminal e.t.c
1, for tab drag and drop
If technically possible, this would be a great addition. I've found myself doing this dance multiple times per day:
That is a lot of work. :(
@Maximus5 I understand that you are bound by the features of the Windows API, so this may not be possible at all, but if it is, it would be a huge productivity boost.
I have a question, is there a way to move tabs between ConEmu windows?
It would be nice to see "Move to window..." menu under tab context menu.
You may detach tab and attach the console into window B.
