Greetings! I would really appreciate a setting in the editor page to change the background to white and the default text colors to be black. This would help me avoid eye strain.
Background: I wear reading glasses because I have Astigmatism. One eye has better reading sight than the other. This is only a problem when there's white text on a black background. I see a blurry, somewhat transparent duplicate of the line of text above the line of text I'm reading. When it's black text on a white background, I can ignore the duplicate as a "shadow". The white text on black background makes me focus on the fact that my eyes don't work right, and I end up getting distracted from the text or (if I spend too much time on it) with headaches.
A white background text editor would also be more welcoming to non-programmers, who have never seen a black-background text editor.
There is actually already a light mode for the Editor (was there before the major night mode, so it simply got documented):
Ah, I'm using the editor on https://hackmd.io/ I don't see an option to change to the light theme. They're missing the 'moon/sun' icons in the top bar in their version of the editor. I can contact their support if they just need to make a UX improvement.
Thanks for your quick response!
