First of all: I really love hackmd! It's a great tool and my organization uses it on a day to day basis!
We mainly use it as a fast and easy way to write down some structured ideas or to take minutes of meetings. For the review of minutes it would be awesome to have something like a tracking mode (cf. GoogleDocs, Word or other editors) where e.g. the initial author of a document can freeze its state and all changes have to be accepted by him afterwards.
Knowing about the revision view I hope it would be possible to include this additional feature and I hope it would be appreciated by others as well.
As workaround right now you can simply decide to change the permission of a note to locked. This is not a perfect solution however it provides a similar functionality since people who want to edit the document need to contact the original author.
That workflow is the exact opposite of what we want to achieve - imagine a meeting with sth. like 20 attendants that all send feedback to the minutes and so on. :(
I also would really appreciate a possibility for tracking changes with reference to the author. Other editors like Etherpad can do it (but on the converse, they lack the preview mode). It would be very comfortable to have all features in the same editor!
